Welcome to the Transgender Law and Policy Institute. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to engaging in effective advocacy for transgender people in our society. The TLPI brings experts and advocates together to work on law and policy initiatives designed to advance transgender equality. The TLPI tracks current developments in legal and public policy issues affecting transgender people and their families, and writes summaries of these trends for activists, policymakers, and the media. The TLPI provides legal, medical, and social science resources to attorneys and others advocating on behalf of transgender individuals. The TLPI makes freely available litigation, legislative, and education advocacy materials for use by other advocates for transgender people. We believe that working in coalitions gives transgender people the strongest possible base from which to advocate for change

The RCSGD staff works throughout campus with students, staff, and faculty to ensure that LGBT experiences and concerns are represented for sensitive and inclusive UC policies and practices. They provide confidential assistance and support to students, faculty, and staff who feel they have experienced harassment or discrimination, or who have questions around issues such as health, housing, financial aid, and coming out. They are also available for consultation to the UCSB community regarding matters of policy pertaining to sexual orientation and gender identity.

UCSF is proud to offer summer research opportunities for undergraduate and master’s students in the health sciences. College students planning to earn a PhD in the field spend up to 10 weeks working with UCSF faculty members on research projects. Deadline is in early February.
The general theme of the internship program is "Fluids in the Earth from Surface to Core". The program is open to non University of Minnesota students majoring in the geosciences or related fields. Those students who are currently in their sophomore or junior year are eligible to apply.
