Spotting a Fraudulent Job Posting

Welcome Students

Career Services is here to assist students in identifying and fulfilling their future goals and aspirations. By providing comprehensive in-house and online resources, programs, and counseling on career development, internships, employment, and graduate school, our professional staff helps students make solid career decisions, connect with employers, and attain their life goals.

At Career, students get support in choosing a major, creating professional documents (resumes, cover letters, curriculum vitas, etc), and learning effective interview and job search techniques. We offer a variety of chances to come face to face with hiring employers and graduate school recruiters at quarterly career fairs, employer information sessions, on-campus recruiting visits, industry panels, and the annual Graduate & Professional School Day. Students can also access a wide range of employment and internship opportunities through GauchoLink, UCSB’s exclusive online job & internship posting system.

Where do you want to go? We can help you get there!

If you’re like most job seekers, you skip straight to the qualifications to see if you’re qualified, then send in your application, right? If you do this, you’re missing out on clues that can help you craft a stand-out resume.
